LAGRIMAS is a screamo / melodic crust band formed in South Central LA made up of members from various parts of SoCal. Lagrimas started in 2019 playing backyard shows in the LA punk scene and have grown to play bigger venues and tour the world.
DISPASSIONATE have been active since 2017, with a sound rooted in post-hardcore, screamo, metalcore and nu-gaze. Following a line-up change last year, the band returned after five years without a release with their self-titled EP “Dispassionate”. The three remaining members used this fresh start to further develop their sound while holding on to what has defined the band since its beginnings: uncompromising emotion, heaviness, and a strong connection to the DIY community. Shortly afterwards, the line-up was expanded to four members once again. In this new constellation, Dispassionate are now ready to bring their music back to the stage and share their passion with the people around them.
Seit 2024 wüten, knüppeln, klagen und flehen MEDIKINET stilecht in den zu Proberäumen umfunktionierten Kellern diverser subkultureller Hotspots in Mainz und Umgebung und orientieren sich dabei an Screamo- & Emo-Szenegrößen wie Daïtro, We Came Out Like Tigers, Lion of the North oder Trautonist. Folglich wird es niemanden verwundern, dass MEDIKINET in ihren Songs feine Melodie in rohe Gewalt hinein zwingen, nur um im nächsten Moment alles wieder in den Haufen zu werfen. Zwischen Ekstase und Katatonie gefangen, ist MEDIKINET wahrscheinlich die ehrlichste Antwort auf die Frage danach, ob die Kids Alright sind.
